The Open Educational Quality Initiative (OPAL), a European consortium of which UNESCO is a member, will be holding a second webinar session on 4 and 6 October via Adobe Connect. The topic of this second OPAL webinar will be: Policy for open educational resource (OER): What? Who? Why?
The OPAL webinar aims to introduce the concept of OER policies to institutional actors, and to discuss policy-making in monitoring and spear-heading adoption of such policies in institutions using OER for teaching/learning delivery. The webinar will serve as an integral part of the work plan foreseen for the OPAL initiative, of which UNECSCO is a partner.
Open educational resources (OER) are materials used to support education that may be freely accessed, reused, modified and shared by anyone.
The Open Educational Quality Initiative webinar will be organized in two sessions to maximize full participation by all OER Global Initiatives.
