Whereas Information Society is linked to the idea of “technological innovations”, UNESCO’s view is that the growth of network and ICT applications alone will not harness the full potential of ICTs for development. Thus, UNESCO has been advocating the concept of inclusive Knowledge Societies from the outset of the World Summit on the Information Society process in 2002.
This community is a forum for sharing ideas and inspiring community through oxford style debates, discussion boards, shared video, photos and files among government, the private sector, civil society and intergovernmental organization.
