<title><![CDATA[Crowdsourcing WorldMap of UNESCO’s points of interest]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Creating a free and open world map of <strong>UNESCO&rsquo;s Points of Interests</strong> through UNESCO&rsquo;s Member States citizen&rsquo;s participation</p>
<p>This open community supports a project which aims&nbsp;to:</p>
<p>1)&nbsp;help &ldquo;UNESCO&rsquo;s citizens&rdquo; prepare an openly licensed data infrastructure which would strengthen UNESCO&rsquo;s global programme implementation and UNESCO&rsquo;s and UN&rsquo;s response to Post Disaster and Post Conflict situations;</p>
<p>2) harness the potential benefits of mapping in different UNESCO&rsquo;s domains, through adequate capacity building (mapping, ICTs), targeting especially adolescent girls and boys from developing countries, through a bottom-up participatory, community approach (crowd-sourcing).<span>&nbsp;</span></p>

<title><![CDATA[Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (<a href="http://www.integrating-technology.org" target="_blank" title="IT4ALL">IT4ALL</a>) is an educational network that offers free or low cost online and face-to-face professional development &nbsp;on how to integrate technology for active lifelong learners (IT4ALL) via blended (BL) and blended online learning (BOL) courses, workshops, communities of learning, international collaborative projects, conferences (facw-to-face/online) and live online events through WizIQ virtual class. The workshops at IT4ALL promote lifelong, active collaborative learning. This means that participants engage in collaborative social learning by providing ongoing feedback to the other members in the discussion forms.</p>
<p>IT4ALL embraces a life long learning methodology where participants are encouraged to learn, reflelct, share, and collaborate. The facilitators guide and facilitate your learning journey. Please note that the Moodle online courses are not limited to time or place. You can access the content, interact with the other members and the instructor/s, and work on the assignments at anytime and anywhere. The live virtual classes via <a href="http://www.wiziq.com/IT4ALL" target="_blank" title="Integrating Technology on WizIQ">WizIQ</a> are time dependent but you can view the recordings at your own time.&nbsp;</p>

<title><![CDATA[OER University]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://wikieducator.org/OER_university">OER university</a> is an international collaboration facilitated by the <a href="http://www.oerfoundation.org">OER Foundation</a>,&nbsp;which aims to provide free learning to all learners worldwide using OER with pathways to gain credible qualifications from recognised education institutions around the world. It is rooted in the community service and outreach mission of tertiary education providers to develope a parallel learning universe to augment and add value to traditional delivery systems in post-secondary education. This community group will be used as the main discussion vehicle for planning the development of the <a href="http://wikieducator.org/OER_university#A_logic_model_for_the_OER_university">logic model</a>&nbsp;for the OER University. All planning documentation will be developed on the OER university pages hosted on <a href="http://wikieducator.org/OER_university">WikiEducator</a>. &nbsp;</p>

<title><![CDATA[Academic Group on Television]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>The Academic Group on Television is an offspring of the UBW supported Network of Young TV Producers project.  The project aims to strengthen media professional capacities, increase the quality and quantity of media content on specific issues such as HIV and AIDS.  In 2009, a number of academic institutions expressed an interest in being associated to the project for research and knowledge exchange purposes between faculty members, graduate students and UNESCO staff.  This workspace has been created to facilitate the Group’s work and to launch collaborative activities that can strengthen television programming and communication for development in developing countries.</p>
